Queenstown Amisfield Winery

Episode: 1
Title: Queenstown Amisfield Winery
Broadcast: Oct 30 2016
Presenter: Trevor & Chrissy

Queenstown is full of great food and wine, and a destination you just must stop and see.

Amisfield Winery is one place you need to visit. The winery was designed by architect Warren Mahony, and the architecture of the place is incredible.

The winery is well known for its pinot noir, called Central Atago. Since starting the wines, they are attracting worldwide acclaim from some of the most respected and acclaimed wine judges.

There is also a restaurant here, and the food here is just delicious. There are huge, cozy fireplaces and the rustic interior is incredibly popular with the visitors.

The vines at Amisfield Winery were only planted in 1998 but the architecture that has been brought in gives the place a warm earthy feel.

  • The winery is 50 km from the Queenstown restaurant and wine cellar door.
  • Being on the 45 parallel this winery has perfect weather to deliver this incredible wine.
  • There’s a cozy fireplace to sit inside and enjoy the wine or if you prefer sitting outside the grounds are just as stunning.
