Trevor explores the hunter river on the hunter for some Fingermark Bream that are abundant in the Hunter River.
- The Hunter River, traditionally known as Yirinni by the Wunambal Gaambera people, offers a rare opportunity to explore an ancient, culturally rich landscape.
- Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and dense mangroves, this remote waterway is teeming with wildlife — from crocs and mudskippers to red crabs and birdlife.
- A favourite activity includes crab hunting in the mangroves, with guests pulling up pots alongside local guides— and often scoring a good catch!
- This is waterfall season, when the landscape transforms with flowing falls and lush greenery, creating dramatic scenery at every turn.
